Nothing like a little get away to the beach over the holidays! Although we wish the ocean was a little closer, it makes for a fun road trip!
We made it just in time to catch the sunset on our first night. This view never gets old!
The point of Road Trippin' isn’t just to get from Point A to Point B as fast as possible, it’s to enjoy the journey along the way. We take full advantage of that, making frequent stops! Like at this Date Farm in Yuma, AZ!
Then, of course, there’s always the ridiculous stops that Mom makes us do. Like this one, The Bridge to Nowhere, also in Yuma, AZ. This is an amazing bridge and it literally goes nowhere!
We may never make it to Egypt, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pose in front of a pyramid…we found one in Felicity, CA, the official center of the world!
When we planned this trip, I really thought Joey would be with us. Not being able to have him along for our adventures is hard. Not seeing him in group photos is even harder. We weren’t a group of five for long, but it sure feels like something’s missing when there’s only four of us. But, he’s here with us, we know it…in our hearts and in our memories, and in the gorgeous blue skies.
Nothing like burning some energy at the Sand Dunes! We posed for this photo and then took off running…needless to say, we slept the entire rest of the drive to San Diego!
Ocean Beach Dog Beach…we have arrived!!
It’s pretty obvious who’s all about the posing and who just wants to be off playing! Oh, Pebbles!
Jax has his very own speed, and has no understanding of why his siblings are so bad at keeping up!
After a morning spent running on the beach, we decided to take a stroll through Balboa Park.
Some of us strolled, literally!
Back to the #OB to rest up for tomorrow’s big day! #OBAlleyMonsters
No adventure would ever be complete without a mountain hike! Whew, it was a steep one, but we made it to the top of Cowles Mountain. Everyone we passed was so impressed by our athletic toughness!
Danger, what danger? Just because I’m lying on the edge of the highest peak in San Diego…don’t be silly, Mommy!
It’s easy to forget that I’ll be turning 12 next year. I’m as quick and nimble as my baby brother when it comes to hiking to the top of the highest peak in San Diego!
There’s nowhere else I’d rather be, than by your side exploring the outdoors.
There is nothing more serene than Master Yogi Benji on the top of Cowles Mountain.
We conquered the mountain, now we have to go back down?
An afternoon in La Jolla enjoying the ocean, the sea lions and some gelato…perfection!
When your fans want to meet you and snuggle with you, you just can’t deny them! Thanks for the snuggles, Mary!
Another fabulous day comes to a beautiful end in La Jolla Cove.
Not to worry, PBJ Pack is on duty! #SuperB to the rescue!
Of course, we had to spend another morning at the beach. If you’re going to drive all the way to the ocean, you should definitely spend as much time playing in the surf as possible!
Exploring, playing, running, making friends…the beach is AWESOME!
It’s the simple things…
It’s really too bad the ocean and the desert can’t be right next to each other. We’ll miss you Ocean Beach Dog Beach!
We spent the afternoon meeting up with some of our #IGFriends! First up was @ksSophie…all us boys are smitten with her, but she likes to play hard to get.
Next up was @shihtzuTinksie and her brother Stanley! Thank goodness Stanley is bigger than us…all of our #IGFriends were starting to make us look like giants!
When you’re the @PBJ_Pack and you’ve got your pose on, random strangers, super fans and IG friends will drop everything to take your photo!
Before we hit the road, we got to snuggle with some fans! Good thing all they wanted to do was snuggle, because we were exhausted!
It’s a sad moment when your coffee cup is empty…not only are you out of coffee, but you know that means your time in San Diego has come to an end and it’s time to hit the road.
We had so much fun at the Sand Dunes on our way out, that we had to stop on our way back.
Even when photo bombed by ATVs, the two professionals just keep on posing, while the other two take a break!
Mom says the Sand Dunes are the perfect midway stop to burn off any sitting-in-the-car energy! We have no idea what she’s talking about.
Nothing like heading back to the warmth of the desert! Not that California came anywhere close to as cold as most of you have it. But, we’re spoiled pups, we like our desert heat!
