Do you take CBD? We do!! Daily!

Cannabidiol, or CBD oil, is derived from cannabis. It is a type of cannabinoid, which are the chemicals naturally found in marijuana plants.

Even though it comes from marijuana plants, CBD does not create a high effect. The high effect is caused by another cannabinoid, known as THC.

CBD and THC are two completely different compounds. As long as there is no THC present, there will be no “high”.

We’re all about taking preventative measures! As soon as we found a source we trusted, we all started taking CBD as part of our daily supplement regimen.

  • It helps boost our immune system.

  • It’s an excellent anti-inflammatory…great for all the physical activity we do.

  • It has been proven to be a preventative medication against osteoporosis and arthritis.

CBD helps to regulate and balance the body, keep everything at a level of homeostasis.

Not only is CBD a great preventative medication, but it has been known to help with a variety of ailments:

  • Pain Relief – arthritis, joint mobility, inflammation, nerve damage and pain from injuries, patella luxation (a common problem in us small dogs!)
  • Anxiety Relief – ranging from situational anxiety (like going to the vet) to noise anxiety (like fireworks) or even separation anxiety
  • Disease Relief – cancer, seizures, epilepsy, digestive problems, skin conditions

The biggest risk with CBD is making sure you are getting a quality product! Because it’s the hip, cool thing to do…so many companies have started selling it. It’s important to know where your CBD is coming from.

  • Does the company give you access to third party lab testing?
  • Is their product sourced here in the US or overseas?
  • Is it grown on an organic farm with no GMOs or pesticides being used?
  • While an inexpensive CBD oil may feel better on the pocketbook, it usually means they’ve cut corners somewhere along the way. Sadly, there have been many documented tests that show companies are selling CBD products that contain almost no CBD.

Which is why we LOVE Blooming Culture

  • They source their product from a certified organic Colorado farm…using no GMOs or pesticides!

  • Every batch is 3rd party lab tested, with Certifications of Analysis being available for view!

  • They use broad spectrum CBD extract, because it allows other plant compounds to work in harmony together creating a more therapeutic effect.

We can definitely say that we have seen positive results from adding CBD to our daily supplements:

  • The biggest one being Benji’s eyes.

    • We are constantly measuring the pressures of Benji’s eyes. He is on the verge of having Glaucoma. Glaucoma is a condition that causes a build-up of fluid and pressure in the eye. Because of the pressure build up, it can cause pain and discomfort.

    • Human studies have shown that the compounds in cannabis were able to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma.

    • Not only have Benji’s eye pressures not gotten worse...they have actually improved!!

  • For help with anxiety.

    • When us pups are going to be doing something that might make us more anxious...like being left at the groomers, we incorporate Blooming Culture’s CBD Dog Treats...a treat simply made with organic free-range turkey & CBD Oil. Not only do we LOVE the treats, but it gives us an extra dose of calming CBD to help take the edge off any nerves.
  • Keeping us active, including joint pain and inflammation reduced.

    • As you know, we are an active, mostly Senior aged Pack. It’s important to us to make sure we stay as mobile and active for as long as possible. CBD helps us do just that!

We do 2 drops twice a day of the 300mg strength Calm That Bark.

(We should note, all pups are different, and may require a higher dose, or a lower dose, or depending on their issues, may not see the exact same results we’ve seen. Be sure to visit Blooming Culture's Products Page for all the available options.)

Drop it directly on our gums and then rub it in a bit to get the best absorption.

Blooming Culture also has a topical balm that can be used for wounds or hot spots. Knock on wood, us pups have not had a reason to use it, yet. But, Daddy tested it out on this nasty head wound he got…and it worked like magic!!
